At the same time, however, it is important to strengthen the autonomy of young female researchers.<br>The immediate objective of funding for publications is therefore improving the visibility of research and increasing its impact. This poses considerable financial challenges for young female researchers who work on or are associated with projects supported by third-party funding but are not the applicants for this funding.<br>Support in the form of funding for costs for open access or comparable publications aims to enable female researchers in the qualification phase to raise the profile of their research on an international level and increase their chances of gaining a qualification position in science or a professorship despite the limitations caused by the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-collapsibles \"><div class=\"accordion\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-collapse \"><div class=\"accordion-group \"><h2 class=\"accordion-heading\"><button class=\"accordion-toggle\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-name=\"panel_d028795f\" data-href=\"#panel_d028795f\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"panel_d028795f-section\" id=\"panel_d028795f\">Target group<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"panel_d028795f-section\" class=\"accordion-body \" aria-labelledby=\"panel_d028795f\" role=\"region\" name=\"panel_d028795f\"><div class=\"accordion-inner clearfix\">\n\n<p><br>The funding is available to female doctoral candidates in the final phase of their doctoral degree, female postdoctoral researchers, and female W1 professors.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-collapsibles \"><div class=\"accordion\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-collapse \"><div class=\"accordion-group \"><h2 class=\"accordion-heading\"><button class=\"accordion-toggle\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-name=\"panel_7bde455b\" data-href=\"#panel_7bde455b\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"panel_7bde455b-section\" id=\"panel_7bde455b\">Scope<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"panel_7bde455b-section\" class=\"accordion-body \" aria-labelledby=\"panel_7bde455b\" role=\"region\" name=\"panel_7bde455b\"><div class=\"accordion-inner clearfix\">\n\n<p><br>Applications can be made for costs of up to a <strong>maximum of 2000 euros per publication<\/strong>. Co-financing of a proportion of higher publication fees is also possible. Articles published in journals requiring subscription and those published in open access journals listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) are eligible for this funding. The articles must have undergone a quality assurance process, usually a peer review. Alternatively, applications can be made for comparable publication costs for chapters in books or compilations. Articles written as part of projects funded by third parties where publication costs are available are not eligible for this funding.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-collapsibles \"><div class=\"accordion\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-collapse \"><div class=\"accordion-group \"><h2 class=\"accordion-heading\"><button class=\"accordion-toggle\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-name=\"applications-for-funding-for-publications\" data-href=\"#applications-for-funding-for-publications\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"applications-for-funding-for-publications-section\" id=\"applications-for-funding-for-publications\">Applications for funding for publications<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"applications-for-funding-for-publications-section\" class=\"accordion-body \" aria-labelledby=\"applications-for-funding-for-publications\" role=\"region\" name=\"applications-for-funding-for-publications\"><div class=\"accordion-inner clearfix\">\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>During a promising revision or after the acceptance of the publication, the application for funding should be made before the contract with the journal is concluded.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Applications must be sent as a PDF file to the assistant to the Faculty\u2019s women\u2019s representatives (<a href=\"nat-frauenbeauftragte@fau.de\">nat-frauenbeauftragte@fau.de<\/a>) including the following documents<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Information about the author including a short CV (max. 1 page)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short description of author\u2019s current position\/scholarship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirmation that the article has been accepted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Details of other author\/s, title of the publication, name of the journal, impact factor, expected publication costs, information about existing third-party funding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information about the costs of publication and the proportion that can be paid by
