Office and structure

The faculty women’s representative ensures that female scientists, female teaching staff, and female students are not disadvantaged. She supports the university in fulfilling its duty to effectively enforce equality between women and men. This is enshrined in law in the Bavarian Higher Education Act (BayHschG) Art. 4, para. 2, sentence 1. In Bavaria, the position is an honorary one and is not remunerated, unlike in other federal states.
