The overarching instrument used by FAU to increase the proportion of women in science is the target agreements concluded between the university management and the faculties since 2005. These target agreements are based on the DFG’s structural and personnel equality standards, faculty- and department-specific statistical indicators, and the cascade model.
The fourth round of target agreements for 2023-2027 has been in force since January 1, 2023.
